The Athens Parade of Lights In December, in celebration of the Christmas season, Athens holds its annual “Festival of lights”. Athens is becoming increasingly famous for the parade which attracts people from both Athens and the surrounding areas. This is a fun family outing that takes place the first Saturday night in December. Things such as free hot chocolate and cider are given out to help ensure your viewing experience of the parade is both pleasant, and warm.
The "Parade of Lights", is made up of floats beaming with Christmas lights.
