Andrea Green is a resident of Athens, Ontario. Her
work on the popular "Main Street" mural has given her a great
deal of recognition in Athens. She has been able to see first hand the
response from the townspeople. "Main Street" took Andrea four
months to complete. Approximately 300 painting hours were spent on it.
"Main Street" was Andrea's first mural. She has also painted
a mural in the stairwell of the Joshua Bates Centre, which depicts the
history of the Town Hall. Andrea has many other interests in the Arts feild.
She paints small pictures with oil and water colours and also creates large
figurative work. Toronto is where this talented artist grew up, and attended
Public School. Her post-secondary education includes a B.A. in Fine Art
at the University of Western Ontario in London. Also a specialty year at
the Ontario College of Art, where she met Mr. Hugh Mackenzie. Mr. Mackenzie
inspired Andrea into painting and sculpting. He is one of the main reasons
for her success.
