"We have a pretty strict dress code. Girls are not allowed to wear any type of sleeveless shirt and shorts are to be only 4 inches or longer above the knee. Skirts have to be the same way. Also, you can't show any of your stomach under any circumstances."

For example short sleeves such as what Christina is wearing in the above picture.

Fashion is a very hot form of pop culture. Many people felt that brand name clothes were most popular in their countries such as Nike shoes, Gap, Levis Jeans, Tommy, Adidas, New Balance, Express, Diesel, and Pickwick. Some schools had specific dress codes such as not being able to wear any sleeveless shirts, shorts had to be four inches or longer above the knee, and no showing your stomach. Some just had a dress code to dress appropriately. Schools all had a similar way of dressing, wearing tank-tops, shorts, sandals, running shoes, sweaters, jeans, skirts (long/short), etc. Brand name clothing was most popular.

Make-up is worn by many artists, actresses, average everyday people, and older adults. People wear make-up to make them feel better about themselves, or just to look good on certain occasions. Make-up is popular all around the world.
