Good - Bad

There are so many celebrities now that it is hard not to be bombarded with their faces. They seem to define many parts of pop culture. It may be the pop you drink or the cloths you wear, and chances are that one celeb or another was behind the scenes promoting. The way that celebs influence us can be negative or it can be positive. They influence many people from the tender age of 10 to the wise age of 50. It doesn't matter who they are, they influence us in one way or another.

Good

There are many good celebrities that influence us in a very positive way, but they are rarely thought about or given recognition. These celebrities include, Julia Roberts, Rosie O'Donnell and Oprah. These people don't flaunt their bodies or exploit there morals all over the news. Many times these people have been hidden away, so to speak, because they are not loud enough. They are a good influence because the general public look at them and see that they made it without sexualizing themselves. These celebrities should be the focus of our pop culture but it is not.

Bad

To come up with three bad influential celebrities is not hard. Pamela Lee Anderson, Tom Cruise, and Denis Rodmen are just a few that have an impact on today society. These celebrities cause all the commotion and they are seen in the news all the time. Our pop culture is based on this because this is what sticks out in our minds. When one looks at them they see a person who gets what they want by being demoralizing, opinionated and basically not caring how they look. Influences start as young as 10 and these children see these celebrities and want to be like them, this is where the influences must stop.
