Is Pop Culture Americanized?

Our discussions had a lot to do with what was popular where we lived! When we were asked what is pop culture a lot of people seemed to bring up things that were American. Hongda Zeng even said that "pop is the new culture of American."

Sarah Macchia proved this by telling us that lots of people in Italy watch "Dawson's Creek and Friends." She continued to say that people there wear "Nike shoes and Levis jeans". She also told us that in Florence, Italy they like to listen to Green Day, Blink 182 and Marilyn Manson. It appears that Italy is dominated by American culture.
