Is Pop Culture Media Based?
During
our discussions we had people talking how the media decides what is popular
and what isn't popular. Some of the people from others school said that
"popular culture is what the media makes popular." The we also
had people saying it's not only the media that makes stuff popular but
the people that also contribute to make stuff like cloths, movies, food
etc... popular. Brian Flagel said that "pop 
culture
is what the media makes us believe it is." In conclusion some think
that the media plays a big role in what is popular around us, and others
think that it's the media and the people who buy the merchandise that
makes stuff popular.
