What do you believe is the main cause of sports violence?

A. Just that players do it
B. Loss of respect among participants
C. Extreme pressure to win at all costs
D. Because it is what they are told to do
E. Because it is what is demanded by the fans

Overall Results

Here more teens said that is is pressure to win (64%) that creates sports violence more than anything else. Teens also said that being told to be violent (5%) is not a serious cause of sports violence although it is a cause. In the middle was to just do it (18%), loss of respect (10%) and the demand by the fans(7%).

Results based on Gender

Over all more females than males that said it was pressure to win that created sports violence. More females also believed players just do it. More males chose being told to do it, and the demand by fans. Loss of respect was equally chosen be males and females.
