Distributing and Receiving Surveys

Distributing

To distribute our surveys, we had to find people to distribute it to. To do this, we used www.epals.com. Here, we found other schools who were willing to exchange surveys. We soon gathered e-mail addresses from schools around the world, which were compiled into a master list. A copy of each survey was sent to each e-mail address on the master list. We had trouble sending some surveys due to words that were considered inappropriate by the e-mail program. This led to some groups having to change the wording of their surveys before they could be sent out.

Receiving

We received replies to the surveys through e-mail as well. We got the results a few at a time, as the schools world wide sent back their responses. We then took the information from the responses and placed it in a database using Microsoft Access. Here, we sorted and grouped the information.
