Mission & Belief Statement

Rationale:
The promotion of a positive learning environment is enhanced by fostering a standard of behaviour as established in the Education Act, the Upper Canada District School Board's Safe School Policy and the PDCI Mission Statement.

Mission Statement:
We create a school climate conducive to achievement. With our community, we strive to acquire the knowledge, skills and values we need to become self-reliant, responsible, inquisitive adults.

We Believe:
The PDCI community consists of everyone who shares the responsibility of supporting all individuals in fulfilling their potential. Learning is an exciting life-long process for everyone to embrace. In treating all people with dignity, fairness and respect. In providing opportunities for individual growth and self expression. A physically and emotionally safe environment is necessary for learning. In striving for the best in ourselves and our community actions. Co-curricluar activities are essential and support will given to all students, staff and volunteers who participate. Communication is a two-way process requiring clear expression and considerate listening. Environmental preservation must be an established practice.
