Rationale:
The promotion of a positive learning environment is enhanced by fostering a standard of behaviour as established in the Education Act, the Upper Canada District School Board's Safe School Policy and the PDCI Mission Statement.

The PDCI community consists of everyone who shares the responsibility of supporting all individuals in fulfilling their potential.

In treating all people with dignity, fairness and respect.
In providing opportunities for individual growth and self expression.
A physically and emotionally safe environment is necessary for learning.
In striving for the best in ourselves and our community actions.
Co-curricluar activities are essential and support will given to all students, staff and volunteers who participate.
Communication is a two-way process requiring clear expression and considerate listening.
Environmental preservation must be an established practice.
